Opening hours
From April to the end of September the Museum is open every weekend and on public holidays from 1 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
From October to the end of March the Museum is open one weekend a month, from 1 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., with an additional weekend in December.
During opening hours our historical trams and buses run on different routes starting from the Museum. Booking ahead for a visit and a normal heritage trip is not possible. A detailed calendar and timetables are available on our homepage. Make sure to check this calendar and the accompanying timetables before planning your visit.
Every Sunday from April to September, as well as one Sunday per month outside this period, you can enjoy a guided trip through different parts of Brussels with one of our heritage trams from 1935 (the “Brussels Tourist Tramway”). Pre-booking is mandatory and can be done on this page.

The Museum is located in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre/Sint-Pieters-Woluwe, roughly at the intersection of Avenue de Tervuren with Boulevard de la Woluwe and Boulevard du Souverain. Woluwe park and a green walking trail on the former trackbed of the Brussels-Tervuren train line are right next to the Museum. The Museum entrance is on the corner of Rue du Leybeek and Avenue de Tervuren.
You can get to the Museum…
By public transport
By train: you get off at Bruxelles-Central/Brussel-Centraal station. There, you take metro 1 in the direction of Stockel/Stokkel. At Montgomery metro station, you switch to tram lines 39 (Stockel/Stokkel) or 44 (Tervuren). You get off at the Trammuseum/Musée du Tram stop.
By metro:
• line 1: switch from metro to tram (39/44) at Montgomery, get off the tram at Trammuseum/Musée du Tram.
Or switch from metro 1 to tram 8 (Louiza/Louise) at Roodebeek, get off at Trammuseum/Musée du Tram.
• line 5: get off at Hermann-Debroux, switch to tram 8 in the direction of Roodebeek. Get off at Trammuseum/Musée du Tram.
By tram (lines 39, 44 or 8): get off at Trammuseum/Musée du Tram.
By bus (line 36): get off at Trammuseum/Musée du Tram.
On foot or by bike
The Museum is located next to a former railway line, now a walking and running trail from Stockel to Delta. There is a Villo (bike-share scheme) station at less than 100 metres from the Museum, and there is a small bicycle parking lot in front of the Museum entrance.
By car
The Museum is on Avenue de Tervuren, close to both Boulevard de la Woluwe and Boulevard du Souverain. On the outer Brussels Ring road (R0), take exit 1 (Vier Armen/Tervuren). Then, you turn in the direction of Brussels. You can park your car on Rue du Leybeek or on Boulevard du Souverain. Please note that parking is not permitted in the courtyard of the Museum.
