This year’s – 43rd – summer season starts on Saturday 5 April, running until Sunday 28 September. As usual our Museum is open every weekend and on public holidays from 1 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. On opening days you can make trips on our heritage trams and buses on different itineraries, all starting from the Museum. Unfortunately the Tervuren tram station is still undergoing maintenance works until at least the end of June. Our temporary terminus is place Dumon in the Stockel neighbourhood.
Our programme in detail:
- on Saturdays: heritage tram trips between the Museum, place Montgomery and Stockel
- on Sundays and public holidays:
- heritage tram trips between the Museum, place Montgomery and Stockel
- heritage bus trips between the Museum and Tervuren or the European quarter
Timetables and a detailed calendar with opening days and prices will be published separately on our website.
Due to road works on place Royale and rue de la Régence (until at least the end of August 2025) we cannot run our trams on rue Royale, rue de la Régence and avenue Louise this year. We will, however, be back in 2026!
We do have something special planned in 2025, though: we hope to welcome you during the weekend of 14 and 15 June for the 100th anniversary celebrations of both tram line 39 (inaugurated on the 1st of January, 1925) and the very first public transit bus line in Belgium. We will shortly publish more information on this event.
