On Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of September our colleagues of “Patrimoine Bus & Car” will organise their 19th open day. The theme of this year is “40 years of the A120”. Our 8249 will be exposed in the front of the depot and will make a few journeys between Casteau and the train station of Soignies. The practical details of those journeys are still being discussed.
On Saturday 9th of September we will make a journey from Brussel to Casteau with the bus Van Hool A500 n° 8399. The departure will take place at the bus station in Haren at 10AM with a few stops on the way to Casteau: Brussels-Midi train Station (at the end station of the busses of “De Lijn” – 10:30 AM); Underground station CERIA (10:45 AM) and Soignies train station (11:30 AM). The arrival in Casteau will be approximately at 11:45 AM. In Casteau it will be possible to eat and drink and to drive with the different busses as well. The way back to Brussels will start at 4PM.
The journey with our bus costs €10 for the museum members and €15 for non-members, which has to be paid on the spot. It is required to send a booking e-mail (containing your name(s) and the place where you would like to get on board) at firstname.lastname@example.org before the 3rd of September.
