The Brussels Capital Region is organizing its usual car-free Sunday on the 17th of September. This also means that STIB will add additional capacity to its network, including tram lines 39 and 44 (with a tram every 10 minutes on each line). As a consequence, our historical trams will not be running on this day. In other words: car-free Sunday = historical tram-free Sunday. This also goes for the Brussels Tourist Tramway and the Museum’s bus line “BM”.
However, the Museum and our Retro-Shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission to the Museum is free that day.
If you would like to enjoy a historical tram ride through the colours of the Sonian Forest in autumn, you can take one of our trams on Saturday 16 September, or during one of the following weekends (23-24/9 and 30/9-1/10). In October, the Museum will switch to “winter mode”, which means it will only be open every 2nd weekend of the month until March 2018 included.
